New - "Candlemas"

We would love to introduce you to Candlemas, an adorable 4" Flower Bear based on the lovely winter Snowdrop flower. He is made from light green synthetic fur with a short, silky soft pile and we have combined this with long, wavy, ivory Schulte mohair which is incredibly soft to the touch and looks really beautiful. For his pads and paws we have used ivory cashmere, he is steel shot filled for a lovely weight, has shiny black English glass eyes and a dark green stitched nose. In style Candlemas has short arms and legs, a rounded tummy and a big head with big fluffy ears. We have given him a snowdrop inspired hat made from ivory and green felt, it has the distictive six petals of a snowdrop, three short with green markings on the tip and three longer petals, the flower has a green cap and stem. I really enjoyed making this bear and hope you like him, the Snowdrop is often known as the Candlemas Bell or Flower of Hope, both such lovely names, a promise from nature that winter will end and Spring will come - we just have to be patient! Candlemas costs £60 plus postage.
