Meet Gorland, the first of our new Woolyback Bears to be offered here on our Website. He is 5 1/2" tall and made from beautiful deep blue fur, a mohair/viscose mix with a short and silky pile, combined with hand dyed bright yellow mohair with a longer soft, fluffy pile. Our Woolyback Bears are inspired by a name given locally in medieval times to people who used to try and avoid the entrance fee at Chester City Walls on market day, they would sneak through the livestock entrance with a sheep on their back! The longer yellow mohair is used for his ears, back and the back of his head and it contrasts beautifully with the short blue fur. Gorland is heavily filled with steel shot for a good weight, he has ultrasuede pads and paws, a yellow stitched nose and shiny black English glass eyes.
