We have not made any larger bears for ages and we wanted to include one in the Rhapsody in Blue Collection, Aquamarine is the result. He is just under 17" tall and he is made of beautiful dense, soft, short dark teal coloured plush fur which is lovely to stroke, combined for his tummy and ears with the Royal Blue Schulte mohair. This style of bear has the pads and paws incorporated into his arms and legs which gives him clean lines and a simple shape. His nose is stitched in blue thread, he is filled with plastic pellets and he has lovely toning blue German glass eyes. We don't often use coloured eyes but we just happened to have this pair and they are the right size and exactly the right shade of blue, they suit him brilliantly. He is not very heavy for one of our bears but he feels really solid and is a great size to cuddle. Around his neck is a collar of bells which jangle pleasingly when he moves, they are stitched onto a blue band. As you can see, Aquamarine has a gorgeous, quite reflective expression, he really is rather lovely, I hope you like him. Aquamarine usually costs £99 plus postage but as our January Special Offer bear he could be yours for only £80 plus postage which is a fantastic price for a handmade bear of this size.
