I love making our Pieces of Eight bears, all named after Pirates from history they are colourful and great fun and in the dark, cold days of January we need more fun! This is Murrell, he is around 4" tall and is made of cheerful yellow gold South African mohair which we have used for his arms, legs and ears. His head is made of longer, sparse, straight stringy white German mohair and his body is made of eight pieces of South African mohair in shades of green, orange, brown and grey. Murrell is named after a River Pirate from the 1830's who operated along the Mississippi River. He has toning yellow gold cashmere pads and paws, his nose is stitched in green and orange thread and he has shiny black English glass eyes. We have filled him with steel shot so he has a nice weight for his small size and as you can see, he is just adorable. Murrell costs £42 plus postage.
