This unusual bear is Baku, a lovely 8" bear made in our new "Pumpkin" style. He is part of our Capital Cities Collection, Baku is the capital of Azerbaijan. We have made him from pale grey South African mohair with a dense, short, velvety soft pile. This style of bear has a top knot of hair made in contrasting fur and for Baku we used turquoise backed, stringy, tousled black Schulte mohair which looks great. The pile is sparse enough for the turquoise colour to show through and long enough to make good hair. He has pale grey ultrasuede pads and paws, a black stitched nose and shiny black English glass eyes. We have filled him with a little steel shot and some plastic pellets so he has a good weight for his size. I do hope you like him, he's rather lovely. Baku originally cost £67 plus postage but as he is in our January Sale, you could adopt him for only £55 plus postage, a saving of almost 18%.
