This adorable little chap is Israel, he is one of the latest bears in our Pieces of Eight Collection. This new range was introduced last month, it is all to do with Pirates because the bears all have an eight piece body and that led me to think of the pirates connection! Israel is named after Israel Hands who was active in the early 18th Century and is best known for being second in command to Blackbeard. Our little Israel is a sweet bear with a lovely face. He is made from very short, soft, pale gold Hembold mohair which has been used for his ears, arms and legs whilst for his head we have used short white Hembold mohair. His body is made from eight pieces of very short, dense, velvety soft alpaca in two colours. The sage green and pale grey fur has been stitched together in the Harlequin style. Israel also has toning pale gold cashmere pads and paws, a green stitched nose highlighted with grey thread, shiny black English glass eyes and a cream belly button. We have filled him with steel shot so he has a nice weight for his small size, he is just 4" tall. I hope you like him, Israel costs £42 plus postage.
