"Stede"
This truly gorgeous little chap is Stede, he is 4" tall and is made in a selection of beautiful colours. Stede is part of our new Pieces of Eight Collection which we introduced last month. They are called this because their body is made of eight pieces of fur, in this case tufted German mohair in four different colours. His head is made of short, white Hembold mohair and his arms, legs and ears are made of short, deep black South African mohair. He has black cashmere pads and paws, shiny black English glass eyes and a light green stitched nose highlighted with pale pink thread. Like all the bears in this collection and because of the Pieces of Eight theme, Stede is named after a Pirate. Stede Bonnet was born in 1688 and was active during the Golden Age of Piracy in the seas around Barbados. He was known as The Gentleman Pirate because he was born into a wealthy family. I do hope you like him, he is very sweet, he costs £42 plus postage.
Please note that as with all our bears, Stede is not a toy and is not suitable for children.
