Mawson is part of our new Seas Collection, he is 5 1/2" tall and he is made of brown backed, very soft, dense pink mohair which has a silky sheen to the pile. To contrast with this, for his tummy and ears we have used white backed, frothy, soft, dark blue tipped Schulte mohair which looks great. Mawson has black ultrasuede pads and paws, he is steel shot and steel ball filled for weight and so he is nice and heavy. We have given him a blue stitched nose and shiny black English glass eyes. The Mawson Sea is named after Douglas Mawson, an Antarctic explorer who discovered the stretch of water off the Eastern side of Antarctica. He usually costs £45 plus postage, but as our first Special Offer bear of the New Year, he could be yours for the bargain price of just £38 plus postage, that's a saving of over 15% and an excellent price for a hand made "one off" bear. I do hope you like him, he is rather lovely.
